Arsine CGA G-16 Standard

Arsine molecule, which is covered by CGA G-16-2018

***Update: This standard has been revised. CGA G-16-2018: Arsine – 2nd Edition is available on the ANSI Webstore.

CGA adopted the Code of Practice Arsine and published CGA G-16—2010 Arsine First Edition. The Code of Practice Arsine was jointly produced by the Asia Industrial Gases Association (AIGA 050/08) and the Japan Industrial and Medical Gases Association (JIMGA T-S/36/08). Arsine is used extensively in the semiconductor industry.
The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) has a program of harmonization of industry standards. CGA G-16 is intended as an international harmonized publication for worldwide use and application by all members of AIGA, CGA, the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA), and JIMGA. The CGA version, CGA G-16—2010 Arsine First Edition, replaces references to regional regulatory requirements with relevant North American requirements but has the same technical content as the AIGA/JIMGA edition.
The standard contains definitions and properties of arsine including physical, chemical, health, flammability, environmental, major hazards and toxicology. It also details arsine handling and storage, cylinder filling, basic principles of abatement and waste disposal and emergency response. Tables and figures provide additional information on arsenic and arsine, a material compatibility guide and arsine vapor pressure graphs.
CGA Standards cover gas cylinder valves , hydrogen storage safe transport and much more. ISO standards for  gas cylinder inspection, gas cylinder filling, provide guidelines for safe handling of industrial and medical gases.
CGA is an ANSI accredited standards developing organization that celebrated its one hundred year anniversary in 2013. The CGA 100 Anniversary video describes the ongoing commitment of CGA and the compressed gas industry to safety and laser sharp focus on standards setting, global harmonization of standards and participation in 26 technical committees.
